As an active wealth manager, Tom regularly engages in the planning process helping clients in all walks of life coordinate their resources across various legal, tax, and financial landscapes. An advisor since 1984, Tom is equal parts educator, advocate, and historian. A committed contributor to his community and the industry, he has studied financial trends through the decades and has become a friend and collaborator to many along the way. With his extensive experience, passion for learning, and indelible influence, he sees it as his moral duty to educate others about sound financial planning. This desire extends beyond his circle of clients and to any person he can reach, whether through nationally published articles or financial literacy courses at his (now adult) kids’ school. Tom wants to shatter the taboos that surround money and give people ownership of their wealth, a process which undeniably begins with candid financial education.
Transparency is critical to Tom, which is precisely why he’s passionate about educating the world regarding wealth management. Whether someone holds a multimillion-dollar estate or is just beginning their career, it’s vital to him that they possess basic financial literacy and have the power to make informed decisions that will influence not just their own, but their families’ futures. And that is the role of The Sedoric Group—to provide wise counsel, transparent education, and heartfelt guidance to help others to make the best of their financial opportunities and consequently, their lives.
In addition to hands-on education, Tom believes it is the duty of advisors to create a generational plan for their practices to secure the well-being of their clients and their heirs. A man of action, he has invested valuable time stewarding an extraordinary team to carry his practice through and beyond the next season of his career. And in his own words, “They do a hell of a job.”
Tom has served as a trustee or director of many organizations and has published works related to wealth and risk management, financial literacy, and market structure. Some of his more notable pieces can be found in The Wall Street Journal, CNN Money, Investor IQ - Financial Times, Dow Jones MarketWatch, Reuters, Forbes, and Barron’s Magazine.
Tom served four New Hampshire Governors as the advisory chair to the Department of Resources and Economic Development advising on business and economic matters. He has also served on the Industry Advisory Council of the New Hampshire Bureau of Securities Regulation and been recognized by both Forbes and Barron’s magazines. Most recently, Tom has been recognized by Forbes | SHOOK Best-in-State in 2018, 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024.
Before his career as an advisor, Tom expected he would one day become the head of a large corporation’s HR department. With degrees in psychology and finance and a natural aptitude for problem solving—not to mention his devout pursuit of others’ wellbeing—it seemed the natural course. But his desire to build relationships and make an impact on the larger community led him instead to A.G. Edwards. During his time there, he and a fellow advisor advocated for the company to establish an advisory account—and so, when A.G. Edwards established its first fiduciary advisory program, they named it after Tom, The Sedoric Advisory Program.
Tom considers his time at A.G. Edwards “a joy and honor,” and it was there that he learned a very simple yet crucial rule of business: “Hire great people, give them the tools they need to succeed, and get out of the way.”
This is just one of many elements of Tom’s success that he attributes to his mentors. Today, he dedicates an entire wall of his office to people who have inspired, challenged, taught, and led him throughout his career. This gallery includes photos of brilliant leaders such as Gloria Steinem (whom Tom met when he was just 19), Paul Volcker, and Henry Kissinger. When he faces a particularly vexing challenge, Tom often asks himself, “What would they do?”
While he has experienced great success and possesses vast influence, Tom’s greatest desire is to care for the needs of others, whether they manage a Fortune 500 company or run a mom-and-pop shop on Main Street. His family (happily and beautifully blended) is his greatest treasure, and he loves spending time with them whenever and however he can. He lives with his wife Barb (founder of LastingMatters.com) in a beautiful home nestled on the shore of the Atlantic with their dog, Winnie (a Labrador Retriever). Tom can fix just about anything, and he is also surprisingly skilled at card tricks.

Casey fulfills a variety of roles within our practice. His myriad responsibilities include the construction of client plans, portfolio construction, investment selection, team management, ongoing client communications and education, and the continuous enhancement of our service model in support of clients. He's a strategic thinker who enjoys helping clients reduce the complexities of wealth with an overarching emphasis on tax-smart planning and investment management.
Casey loves serving clients in all stages of life and considers it an honor to know they count on us when it matters most. He takes pride in working with clients through successes, obstacles, challenges, and accomplishments, and his mission as their trusted advisor is to help them achieve the peace of mind they crave and the fulfillment they deserve. With his psychology and sociology background, he knows that asset management is only one piece of the puzzle and that emotions and behaviors are equally critical components in the equation for long-term success.
As Managing Director, Casey also serves as a mentor and guide to the Sedoric Group's evolving team. With almost two decades of experience in financial services and a passion for complex problem-solving, he delivers a combination of technical knowledge and relational wisdom that helps the team grow and adapt to an ever-changing environment. Never one to miss out on new technology or innovative software, Casey has fondly been deemed the Sedoric Group's resident 'tech nerd' and is passionate about uncovering new ways to better serve clients.
Casey is a Certified Financial Planner™ and has received multiple recognitions for his work. In 2019, he was featured on the Forbes SHOOK Next-Gen Best-in-State list, and in 2020, he was named to InvestmentNews' 40 Under 40 list. In 2023 and in 2024, he was also named to the Forbes | SHOOK Best-in-State list. Casey had the honor of delivering the commencement address at Great Bay Community College in 2019, and today serves on their Advisory Board. He has been interviewed by Barron's and the Financial Times, and he is a regular contributor to the New Hampshire Business Review.
Casey's foray into financial advising is distinctive and wholeheartedly genuine. After graduation, he entered the mortgage industry, where one fateful day, he made a "textbook recommendation" to a client. Later, he received a call from that client's financial advisor, who was less than impressed with Casey's knowledge of his financial situation. He shared this opinion with Casey on no uncertain terms. Casey left work that day with a bruised ego and a determination to do something about it. On his drive home, he heard an ad for a CFP® open house hosted at Boston University that evening. At that moment, he changed course (both literally and figuratively) and drove to the open house. There, he fell in love with the financial planning process and the idea of being a fiduciary. He signed up for the rigorous coursework that day and joined the industry in 2008, where he almost immediately started working alongside Tom. Casey admired his approach and leadership, and after building his practice, he officially joined The Sedoric Group in 2015. Casey later earned his CFP® designation in 2017.
Casey graduated from the University of Vermont with a dual major in psychology and sociology. While his plan to become a licensed marriage counselor didn't pan out, his education in the field has provided valuable insight and empathy when it comes to helping clients navigate the ebbs and flows of life.
Casey and his family moved from Eliot, Maine, to Greenland, New Hampshire in December of 2020, and they have fallen in love with the supportive community there. When their house burned down in April of 2022, their friends and neighbors rallied around them, and they're incredibly grateful to live in such a generous, kindhearted community.
Casey and his wife Rhea (an unfailing optimist who is rumored to give the world's best hugs) have two young children, Cecelia (Cece) and Trig. Casey's work keeps him busy, but that doesn't prevent him from spending quality time with his family. They enjoy visiting nearby lakes together, fishing, and building campfires. He and Rhea have a special passion for hosting, and they love making others feel welcome by cooking and entertaining together.

As our Client Relationship Manager, Erika is incredibly passionate about client advocacy. She’s consistently on the front lines with clients, helping them implement strategies, coordinating with their other professional partners, and addressing any challenges and life events that arise during the planning process. She is an integral part of the client onboarding process – from drafting an initial plan to coordinating the transfer of assets – helping to ensure a seamless transition experience. She is also fundamental in the development and execution of clients’ financial plans, where she leverages her CFP ® training to identify simple and appropriate solutions for clients’ evolving needs, regardless of life stage. An innate doer, one of her primary goals is to take tasks off clients’ proverbial plates. For Erika, work is far more than a job. She cares deeply about our clients, and her mission is to ensure every person we serve feels heard, known, and cared for.
Erika is also a fitness enthusiast and makes circuit-training a part of her daily routine. She enjoys running and has participated in several marathons. She also loves experimenting in the kitchen, though it’s debatable whether her family shares in her excitement for this passion.

With a background in management and extensive in-house training, Erica possesses knowledge about nearly every aspect of our firm. She helps develop and monitor clients’ financial plans, assists with the onboarding process, and keeps clients updated about their progress as we help them execute their financial strategies. Her goal is to provide full-service support that helps to eliminate stress from clients’ lives, and with her strong organizational skills, she strives to ensure every task is carried out efficiently and with as little burden as possible to the client.
Erica views her work with clients as a partnership, and she collaborates with them to develop meaningful, personal plans. She initiates important conversations to determine what truly drives them, allowing them to work together effectively so she can help clients get exactly where they want to be. Erica is unfailingly transparent, and she’s passionate about educating clients so they feel empowered to make wise financial decisions. To her, if she can make just one client’s life easier, ease one person’s mind, or solve a problem for one client, she knows she has spent her day well.
After earning her degree in Criminology & Law and Justice from the University of Tampa, Erica entered the financial services industry in 2010 as a Client Service Associate. There, she discovered her love of working with people, and over time, she earned more licenses so she could expand her reach in the industry. Later, she joined Morgan Stanley, where she became the Business Service Manager for the Boston Harbor Complex, where she was a resource to over 175 Advisors and staff. In 2018, she joined the fast-growing team at Steward Partners as an Operations Manager for the New England Division. It was in this role that she met Tom and the rest of the Sedoric team, and after working closely with the firm for four years, she officially joined the practice in 2022 as a Wealth Management Associate.
Erica moved to Brentwood, New Hampshire, from Boston in 2020, and she loves that Portsmouth has amenities like great food and walkability without the usual pitfalls of a larger city. She and her husband James live on several acres of land about 30 minutes outside the city, and they enjoy taking walks around their property with their young children, Kenzie and Mac, and their lovable mastiff, Leia.
While Erica enjoys a relaxing day by the pool with her family, she’s also a fitness fanatic, and she loves riding her Peloton, practicing yoga, and doing barre and pilates.
